SENIOR MARINE ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
 
To respond to the increased demand for services  Aquatronics Marine is seeking the services of a senior technician. 
 
The position involves the installation and commissioning, analysis and repair of leading brand navigation and marine communications equipment, and the repair and installation of low voltage electrical services on pleasure and small commercial marine craft around the Sydney area.
 
The applicant must be able to demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:
 
  • Marine or aircraft navigation equipment
  • Extra low voltage systems 12/24/240V
  • Marine communications equipment
  • Inverters and generators
  • Audio visual equipment and systems
 
To be successful the technician will be:
 
  • Technical or trade qualified, with a marine / boating background and a sound knowledge of a wide range of marine electronics equipment
  • An excellent communicator, keen to provide exceptional customer service
  • Practical and resourceful
  • Comfortable working independently, or as part of a team, or able to supervise others as required
  • Physically fit for an active field role and able to work at heights
  • A competent user of computers and MS office applications
  • Able to provide references demonstrating a sound and diligent work history.
 
Specific product training will be provided as required.
 
Salary, including a company vehicle and benefits are to be negotiated, according to experience.

MARINE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
 
Leading into the summer season, Aquatronics Marine requires the services of a recently-qualified electrical technician to work independently and as part of a team, on pleasure craft and small commercial vessels around the Sydney area. 
 
The position involves the installation, repair and maintenance of all aspects of marine electrical and navigation equipment. The work is interesting and challenging, and good problem solving skills are required. The position is ideal for a young person with a genuine love of boats, and a desire to have a rewarding and enjoyable career on and around Sydney’s beautiful waterways.
 
The applicant must be able to show:
 
  • Experience in low and extra low voltage systems
  • Understanding wiring diagrams
  • Competence in identifying key components of electrical systems
  • Experience in the analysis and repair of electrical systems
  • Clean, tidy and methodical installation practices.
 
To be successful the applicant must:
 
  • Communicate effectively with clients and offer excellent customer service
  • Have the ability to support a senior technician
  • Capable of working independently when required
  • Pay attention to detail, working to a high standard
  • Be punctual and work in a timely manner
  • Possess basic computer skills.
 
Product specific training will be provided as required.
 
Salary range $35,000-$40,000 pa plus super.
